It is increasingly important that organisations have critical systems in place that help them manage, measure, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of human capital development and deployment throughout the organisations. Thus, there is a need to identify some critical HCD systems and technologies within one's organisation and assess how they compare to best practices.
Cultures (C) : Organisational Cultures that Supports Active Human Capital Development
Organisations, like all patterned human interactions, are sustained by specific cultures. Organisational cultures are varied but one could distinguish those that support human capital development and those that become obstacle to such efforts. There is a need to explore a diversity of organisational cultures that support human capital development.
Knowledge & Skills (K&S) : Knowledge Management & Skills to serve Human Capital Development
The future economy and organisation will not necessarily be knowledge-based. And the skills set and competencies related to it will be significantly differently. The organisational forms and technologies associated with it will also be different. How will these nuances influence Human Capital Development in the current context?

The economy goes through good and not so good times. During these times, the single critical factor is leadership. How does an organisation utilise opportunities, face challenges or crisis? Is it prepared for these situations? That is only possible if the leadership in an organisation addresses human capital issues creatively and takes proactive steps. Only visionary leadership sees beyond the present and and prepares for the future.
