Passion Catalyst
USA

Introduction

After years of feeling frustrated and stuck in his career, Curt Rosengren discovered the power of passion. As a speaker, author, and coach, Rosengren helps people create careers that energize and inspire them. His work focuses on three questions: What lights me up? What difference do I want to make? And, how do I weave both of those into a career (and a life!) that lets me thrive?

Work Experience

The bursting of the dot com bubble in 2001 was the catalyst for Rosengren to leave his former career in marketing, make a change, and discover his own passion. Since early that year, his focus has been on helping people create more energizing, vibrant, inspiring careers.

As a coach, Rosengren works with individuals to help them find clarity so they can take action and get traction in their careers. As a speaker, he builds on the insights gained in a decade of helping people love their work. As a corporate workshop facilitator, he helps HR departments and other business teams learn how to plan for passion and get Wild About Work.

His book 101 Ways to Get Wild About Work and his E-book The Occupational Adventure Guide TM offer people tools and ideas for turning dreams into reality. His current blog, The M.A.P. Maker , explores how to craft a life of meaning, abundance, and passion.

Education

Recognition

From the New York Times to the New Zealand Herald, Rosengren’s career passion expertise has been quoted in major newspapers across the US and around the world. His first blog, The Occupational Adventure, was named by Forbes.com as Best of the Web. He recently wrapped up a three-year engagement blogging about career passion for the U.S. News & World Report.

Style

Rosengren aims to keep his interactions informal, fun, and real. His work combines a deep curiosity and a near-constant stream of ideas and questions to explore. He is what he describes as a “practical idealist,” blending a belief that our dreams expand our potential and grounding them in reality is the best way to bring those dreams to life. His talks and workshops combine his presentation, participant interaction, and time for introspection and reflection.

Personal / Family

When not focused on his Passion Catalyst business, Rosengren is an avid traveller and photographer. Put a camera in his hand in a place he’s never been, and he completely loses himself. As an amateur genealogist, he is also his family’s historian, having traced many lines back to the 1600’s. For him, it’s not the names and dates that are so compelling, it’s the stories. Who were these people? What kind of lives did they live?
